About Travel Bird
Team Travelbird... a backwater tale...

‘Ours is a backwater tale’ the veteran editor of one of the largest circulated vernacular dailies in India often used to start the story of his organisation. Travel Bird would have used the same lead had he not used it before and quite famously. We too started it on a quiet night on board a beautiful houseboat anchored right in the middle of the backwaters in Kerala. But that’s just a coincidence.
Travel Bird is an idea roosted long back in the minds of a two young journos who at first was afraid to share it with their peers because it looked too audacious to venture out with an online travel magazine in to a flood of more than hundreds and thousands of google results for the key word travel. There’s always the risk of going unnoticed in a highly competitive online environment were hits do really matter.
Among the numerous travel blogs and hundreds of social networks dedicated to travel, this online attempt would be to link almost all possible avenues of travel. Though designed as an online magazine, Travel Bird follows the orthodox deadwood magazine format both in content and organisation. We’ll be coming out as a ‘monthly online magazine’ with regular deadlines and monthly updating. (Sounds weird, right? some old print media habits seldom leave us. Our team members still do write for broadsheets and periodicals, making it difficult for us to chuck out some pet conventions.)
We’ve a team of distinguished editorial team who work stationed at Kerala, one of Asia’s most successful tourism brands. They go places, meet people, co-ordinate with travel buffs around the world, pester our contributing writers around the globe and put their heads together to bring out the best read every month.
Team Travel Bird, knows very well that it’s difficult ahead. But everybody in the team has a bit of a crazy traveller in them that fills them with the courage to keep moving, against all odds.
Thank you for surfing by; keep moving!
