Passionate about everything - Sreesanth

Sreesanth

Wed, Aug 25 2010 10:25 AM
Sreesanth is as passionate about traveling as about playing cricket. He has been roaming around the world from a young age and all the places he has visited have left indelible imprints on his mind. He shares his ideas, tastes, dreams and philosophy with the Travelbird...

I have traveled a lot thanks to cricket and I had always managed to roam around the countries where we went to play. But even otherwise, matches or no matches, I like to travel. My favourite haunt is St. Kitts Island of the Caribbeans. It is a terrific place. Then I find the interiors of Kerala, especially its backwater areas, fabulous. There is one place where I have not had the chance yet to go but would like to visit. That is Las Vegas. No, not to gamble. It is just to be there in those casinos...

A Nomad in Love with Barcelona - Rita Golden Gelman

Rita Golden Gelman

Thu, Apr 30 2009 09:43 AM
Rita Golden Gelman is a well-known writer who has authored more than seventy books including the famous "Tales of a Female Nomad: Living at Large in the World." A self- proclaimed nomad, she has been circling the globe and writing about her experiences ever since 1987.

I'm back in Barcelona, my new favorite city. I'll get to that in a minute. First let me talk a bit about Vaughan Town.

I don't want to repeat here what I wrote on my website www.ritagoldengelman.com. Read that first. It was a fun week... and work. All that talking…nearly twelve hours a day. If you are a party-er (partier?); add another few hours. Many of the Spanish students went out drinking after dinner... beginning around 10:30. Some of the Anglos joined them....

ROMANCING ADVENTURE ‘ I fall in love with each place I am in…’ - Roma

South Indian Actress Roma

Sun, Feb 15 2009 10:45 AM
(Roma is a young lovely Indian actor with a huge fan following. She has many super hit movies to her credit in South Indian languages. Settled in Chennai, she is now busy moving from one film set to another and says she badly misses her adventure games.)

I am passionate about adventure games. The meandering rivers and rough currents are always tempting. I have never missed a chance to live the excitement of para-sailing, river rafting and paragliding. Trekking and mountaineering have always been my favourites. I am dangerously and passionately in love with adventure.

I have been to river rafting many a times and the most memorable of them was in Beas River. My cousins and myself had a great time in the rough waters. We started off from Kulu-Manali and moving down the river...

With the Most Endangered Tribe on Earth - Mohanlal (Actor, India)

Mohanlal (Actor, India)

Mon, Dec 15 2008 07:15 AM
The versatile acting genius of South Indian film industry, Mohanlal, is a staunch believer in the philosophy of living in the present. An Oshoean in spirit and practice, his I’ll-drink-life-to-the-lees attitude has not gone well with the moral brigade. Now, it is anybody’s guess that he must be an ardent travel buff. And yes he is. Though he has travelled round the globe, most of them were career trips with hectic schedules. The suave thespian shares some of the best moments of his globe-treks.

I always dream of getting my backpack ready and go, wherever I wish to. But seldom do I get a chance to. I love meeting people and sharing with them, listening to their stories, indulging in the most ordinary pleasures of life. Unfortunately, I’ve almost become a vicarious traveller, thanks to my career.

I suppress the call of this big beautiful world of wonders and quell my desires reading books and writings on great journeys. It is an occupational hazard of being in the glam world. Either you are busy or in a crowd...
